Michael Stockton is a fine-art photographer originally from the North-East of England, now based in Berlin, Germany. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from the University of Brighton.

Working exclusively with film and shooting mostly in black and white, his work explores memory and the quiet, transformative power of everyday moments. He is drawn to scenes that seem to ‘stand in’ for what can’t be seen—inner states, emotions, and fleeting thoughts. His images invite the viewer to pause, reflect, and become part of the narrative, imagining their own place within it.

Stockton’s work has been recently featured in solo exhibitions at Das Gift and Club der Polnischen Versager, in Berlin; and in group shows at Orth Kluth and Haute Presents, in Berlin; Free Range, The Old Truman Brewery, in London; and the University of Brighton.
