Berlin Portraits began in 2011, after Michael Stockton moved from England to Berlin. Feeling new to the city, he started visiting the homes of people he met, making portraits in the spaces where they lived.

What began as a way of finding connection became a project that unfolded over more than a decade. The photographs reflect these encounters—moments shaped by presence, trust, and the shared time between photographer and subject.
