Berlin Portraits began in 2011 when I relocated from England to Berlin—a city that, at first, felt unfamiliar and distant. In an effort to connect with my new surroundings, I started visiting the homes of people I met, capturing their portraits in the intimate spaces where they lived. What began as a personal exploration gradually evolved into a decade-long photographic series.

This project is a meditation on light, both literal and symbolic. It reveals the depth of human emotion, the passage of time, and the quiet power of human connection. Each portrait offers a window into personal histories and private moments, illuminating the beauty of lives as they unfold.
